11:45 am - 12:00 pm Break
12 - 12:45 pm Sheraton meeting room Future of LFP: sticky note activity charette. In this session, we'll each get a small stack of colored sticky notes. The facilitators will ask a series of questions like "what are our most pressing issues as an organization?", "what are we doing well that we should keep doing?", "what resources do we need?". For each question, everyone writes down as many responses as they want on their sticky notes, and we then stick them to the wall together under each question. Then after the break, we'll take 10 or 15 of the tiny colored stickers, and then everyone "votes" putting those tiny stickers on the sticky notes that we agree with/think are most important. Then we will talk about those things that got a lot of votes, and use them to guide other discussions and sessions during the weekend. Some of what comes from this session will inform our conference agenda in 2022. Alison, Kim B.
12:45 - 1:30 pm Sheraton meeting room Lunch
1:30 - 2:30 pm Sheraton meeting room Future of LFP continued Alison, Kim B.

7:30 pm - ? We could go somewhere in the neighborhood and hang out, just depends on how many of us there are. If we're a huge group, I think we should take the bus to Pentridge Station. Social time

Time Location Activity Facilitators
Before 10 am Wherever you want, see ideas on the main meeting page Breakfast on your own or with other LFPeeps
10 - 10:15 am Sheraton meeting room Check in from yesterday, review agenda for the day, identify notetakers and other roles
10:15 - 11:15 am Sheraton meeting room LFP community culture. In this session, we're talking about the culture in LFP -- who we are, who we want to be, how we want to be seen. We'll identify things that we need to work on as a community, community documents we need, processes, etc. This is similar to the "future of LFP" session, but more internally focused -- it's all about how we treat each other and how we want to be known as a group. Some of what comes from this session will inform our conference agenda in 2022. Alison
11:15 - 11:30 am Break
11:30 am - 12:15 pm Sheraton meeting room Sharing our current work and how we're creating a culture of privacy in our libraries. General ideas for the meeting

  • Overall acknowledging what we have all been through in the last year and a half, and that we want more than the status quo (including events, field trips, more).
  • Hands on or creative workshops and activities, time for socializing
  • Schedule flexibility- like people welcomed and encouraged to take the breaks they need to take whenever.
  • Accessibility: live captions/subtitles, every speaker using a microphone, built in quiet time.
  • No peanuts! Someone has an allergy!
